have tried suggestions of uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting and still get the message DOLBY ADVANCE AUDIO driver NOT WORKING. the Conexant smart audio hd is for our speakers.

Right click and then click on Install Driver Software. Open that and you will see Conextant Smart AudioHD. In device manager go to Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Does it matter if it wont start? That same solution does not work on W10 anymore, thus I am required to ask. It doesn't want to work on windows 10, I had the same issue on 8.1 however I managed to deal with it on my own.
